Why I Paint Crystals

They abound in the heavens and earths.

They are museums.

They hold ancient history.

People have crystalline structure.

We are made of stardust

All from one star.

In St. Paul in the 1950s my brother listened to R&B from Little Rock on his crystal set.

Now crystals hold computer memory.

They aid, protect, and heal.

They are ground into artists pigments

Of almost every color.

This is my beloved discipline

Translating thoughts into crystals.
